March 17, 2021

This updated article marks the close of a lunar cycle of 80 years since the Jewish decree on May 11, 1942 for a restored Jewish homeland — and reminds us that its solar cycle counterpart carries us forward to the anniversary date from which it began — on May 11, 2022.

We will examine the prophetic timeline more broadly than in earlier discussions, so it is my hope that you will share this with everyone you know in the body of Christ, but especially with those in church ministry.

I want to begin with the fact that I had no previous knowledge of the historical significance of May 11, 1942 as a biblical date of decree, or why its place in bible prophecy had been overlooked by so many of today’s bible prophecy teachers.

I describe what happened on that remarkable day in the introduction of my book, The Clock of the Four Night Watches, and in related articles and updates here at the website.

It was this date in recent Jewish history that I was told to make note of during a divine visitation in my home in the Spring of 2010, when Jesus Christ both appeared and spoke to me.

When the angel audibly revealed to me that our end time countdown began at a point of final decree nearly six years to the day before the UN-sanctioned inception date for the modern Jewish state, I had no previous knowledge of these earlier events.

Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion had uttered his prophetic declaration to “open the gates of Palestine” on this date (the same month of the year as the angel delivered the importance of this information to me) — on May 11, 1942.

It was two years later before I understood the meaning of this instruction, when Jesus appeared to me and told me where to find the document that would explain it to me.

That document is now archived to the Introduction of my book, which I encourage you to read and share with those you know.

We have come to understand our place on God’s prophetic timeline using such dates, as it is our study of key events throughout Jewish history — combined with the divine mathematics and structure of the bible — that guide us forward.

Since I was not given a date for the end of the Age or the exact length of time our final generation would be, my purpose has been to observe these markers in time as a way to keep vigil, and to advance our knowledge of prophecy as the end draws near.

In our study of biblical events, we want to examine two important questions that are seldom considered as topics of interest by modern bible prophecy teachers:

First, What is the true length of a biblical year?

Second, What exactly are we supposed to count FROM?

Relying on the majority opinion, we might conclude that God is using the modern Gregorian calendar to mark a 70 year generation from the rebirth of modern Israel in 1948 to arrive at the year 2018 for the Second Coming of Christ!

Clearly, we have learned the fallacy of relying on popular opinion with regard to measuring time in this way!

If indeed God were using our modern calendar to measure time for the purpose of prophetic fulfillment, then the Gregorian calendar — unknown to the early and late prophets of the Bible — would represent the first occasion in which God alters his ways to accommodate ours.

I remain convinced that God has maintained his original calendar system — one based on the lunar cycle — for marking time.  This does not mean, however, that we can know exactly the date on which our prophetic timeline will come to a close.

Scholars of the Bible universally agree that Daniel’s 70 weeks of years were based on the periodic lunar phases, allotting exactly 360 days per year in a 13-month lunar-based calendar system.

Further, the Hebrew calendar was adjusted every 2 to 3 years to accommodate the seasonal solstice so as to ensure a full and proper harvest.

It is no mystery that the critical 70th Week of Daniel’s prophecy is — according to Daniel himself — equal to exactly 2,520 days.

And that is why the prophecy key given to me by Jesus in 2010 uses this same number (2,520) to measure time in the book of Revelation!

In the absence of biblical guidance to the contrary, I believe Daniel’s moon-based calendar remains just as relevant in our time.

______________<<>>______________

Now that we have reached the culmination of an 80 year lunar cycle since the decree for Israel’s rebirth on May 11, 1942, we want to know whether the end of the Age may be marked by some longer period of time, as now seems obvious.

I should point out that at no time during the visitation I experienced in 2010 did the Lord refer me to Psalms 90:10, or to any other time frame that would mark his arrival. In fact, my discussion of this topic has been based solely on my study of time measurements as supported by the bible.

While the solar cycle will carry us to the conclusion of an 80 year period on May 11, 2022 — and provide an extended window of Watch for us — this should not be viewed as predictive for the arrival of Critical Mass, as foreknowledge of an exact end point would be contrary to the words of Jesus.

I believe that every calendar measurement should be seen as a guide, and that our “measure of days” will become known to us primarily in retrospect.

The second question in our time study, which concerns the point in time at which we begin to count forward, is somewhat more involved, but equally crucial to our understanding of the role historical events play in bible prophecy.

We may overlook the fact that modern bible prophecy teachers often (if not always) ignore the biblical principle of counting time from a point of prophetic decree (as Daniel was told to do) and instead measure the lapse of time between two events that, from God’s own perspective, are less relevant.

In my book, I explain why God is counting time from a point of decree to mark the start of our final generation, not unlike Daniel’s account of future events in his remarkable book of prophecy.

It might seem obvious that counting forward in time from a past prophetic decree can give us a better understanding of prophetic events if, in fact, God himself is measuring time in that way.

In fact, the Clock Prophecy has demonstrated this by convergence of Revelation 12:1 (in which the woman wearing a crown of 12 stars gives birth to the man-child) with the tetrad moon eclipse (a 5 hour lunar penumbra) on the morning of April 15, 2014!

[See my “Critical Alerts” section linked from the home page for how this early prophetic layer points to the takeover of the nations in 2027]

This same convergence is presented as monograph #6 in Chapter 3 of my book and (along with nine others) proves the divine origins of the Clock Prophecy.

In Daniel we find the information we need to identify the decree for the rebirth of a modern Jewish state that, according to Jesus, would mark the beginning of a final generation before his return. Daniel did this by providing the numeric key that would unlock time in the book of Revelation in the latter days!

You may only have heard of this seminal event in recent Jewish history by reading about it in my book, or by reading articles here at the Clock Prophecy website. What follows is a brief synopsis that will help you understand its importance to us in bible prophecy.

______________<<>>______________

The occasion was a formal meeting of Zionist Jews at the Biltmore Hotel in New York City, attended by leaders in international law, political science, and Jewish history.

The convocation began two days earlier on May the 9th during the horrors of the Jewish holocaust in the midst of World War 2 — even as the words of Ezekiel (Ez 20:34) pertaining to God’s one remaining castigation of his people were fulfilled the same year!

British and Jewish dignitaries, including the renowned David Ben-Gurion, who would later become Israel’s first prime minister, attended. It was on the third day of the event that Ben-Gurion declared his rejection of the Balfour declaration, and he publicly implored every Jew in attendance to reject it, as well.

Ben-Gurion repudiated the concept of a provisional Jewish homeland, one that had been envisioned by British planners, and in particular by the esteemed statesman, Lord Arthur Balfour, a former British Prime Minister, whose work the Jewish homeland declaration was named for.

The framework proposed by Ben-Gurion came to be known as, The Biltmore Program, and it was this historic approach to contemporary Hebrew society that called for a Jewish commonwealth, making the rebirth of modern-day Israel possible.

Even today, students of bible prophecy are taught that the Balfour Declaration was the instrument God used to bring about the rebirth of modern Israel, however the truth is that it was nullified by David Ben-Gurion, who replaced it with a Jewish proclamation that had not previously existed!

The image above is linked to an article that will provide you with a more complete historical account of these events. I also invite you to read my book, The Clock of the Four Night Watches, which explains how this pivotal date was revealed to me by Christ during a divine visitation in my home, and why it marks the final generation of human government on earth before his return!

While the decree date of May 11, 1942 revealed to me during a divine visitation is foundational to the Clock Prophecy, I believe we should also consider the relevance of other prophetic markers from recent Jewish history.

For example, the 6-day war of 1967 and its improbable outcome, when Israeli forces re-captured the city of Jerusalem from the Egyptian armies during the summer of that year, restoring Jerusalem fully to Jewish control.

It was 50 years earlier, near the end of 1917, that British General Edmund Allenby was victorious in liberating Jerusalem from the occupying Turks — bringing about the conditions necessary for the rebirth of a modern Jewish state.

Some believe these events connect two divinely appointed celebrations known as Jubilee, which are one year periods observed 50 years apart on the ancient Hebrew calendar.

If we use this prophetic marker to count forward to the placement of a future prophesied event — in particular the conquest of the nations by Christ in his war against the beast — we find that it fell on the Clock in late 2016 with the arrival of Revelation 19:15 at the end of the fourth Watch!

Using June of 1967 as a marker for Jubilee, we have only to count forward to the next celebration of Jubilee using the lunar count as used in the book of Daniel.  As before, we will avoid the use of Gregorian years and count a year as 360 days, as follows:

6-Day War of 1967
June 5, 1967 + (50 x 360) = September 15, 2016

This indicates that Jubilee began in the month of September in 2015 and came to an end one year later in September of 2016, the same month and year that Revelation 19:15 fell on the Clock of the Four Night Watches!

I believe this points to the start of the war of the Lamb against the beast during the US presidential election outcome in 2016, which has brought us to a preview of God’s Judgment upon the nations.

My August 14, 2019 update explains how this divine war will conclude 13 years after the birth of the man-child — marked by the tetrad eclipse convergence with Revelation 12:1 on the Clock in April of 2014.

I expect this to mark the start of the Millennial Kingdom of Christ in the year 2027!

We might have expected the year of Jubilee in 2015/2016 to overlap with Sukkot and bring about the return of Christ at that time, however such measurements are often a sign to us that fulfillment is near, rather than an exact point of prophetic culmination.

For instance, an 80 year period of time that concludes on May 11, 2022 will mark the end of a final generation since David Ben-Gurion’s prophetic utterance on that date in 1942, based on the words of the Psalmist in Psalms 90:10.

The exact year of the Lord’s return, however, remains unknown to us.

______________<<>>______________

We want to turn for a moment to the doctrine of the Tribulation period, a part of modern church teaching that says the Lord’s coming will take place at the end of 2,520 days of tribulation.

This doctrine remains the prominent view of most Protestant Christians, and of many Orthodox and Catholic Christians, as well.

After many years of careful study, however, I have reached the conclusion that Daniel’s 70th Week was in fact shortened by the period of Jesus’ ministry to the Jews — fulfilling his promise to “shorten those days for the Elect’s sake” even before — a promise kept even before his resurrection!

This is consistent with a careful read of Daniel 9, which places the Lord’s baptism in the Jordan at the start of Daniel’s 70th Week rather than at some random point before the end of the 69th Week. *

This further explains John’s reference to a 1,260 day period of time (never 2,520 days) as we see in the book of Revelation.

* See Chapter 4 of my book where I cover this topic fully.

______________<<>>______________

In summary, while lunar cycle measurements are consistent with time as they were measured by the prophet Daniel, this does not mean we know the period of time contained in the prophetic fulfillment window.

After the visitation in 2010, I researched the divine structure of the Bible in my desire to understand how the mathematics of the Bible had been used to bring us to this critical point in human history.

Nearly a decade later, I continue to be astounded at the depth of God’s revelation through his measurement of time, and how he has encoded such information in the literal text of his holy Word!

I pray that my search for understanding, and that every revelation of the Clock Prophecy, has been (and will continue to be) a blessing to you.

I look forward to seeing you in the New Jerusalem at our appointed times!

In Messiah’s service,

….Peter John Brandal
